BioPlastics 2006. The National Research Council of Canada (CNRC) has added its support to the biobased plastics field by launching a new recurring event. This 3 day meeting was from September 27 – 29, 2006 at the Delta Hotel located in Montreal, Que. It was organized by NRC personel of Industrial Materials Institute, Boucherville, Que. 10th International Symposium on Biological Polyesters (ISBP) 2006 annual conference was held at the University of Minnesota, August 27- 31, 2006. Biodegradable plastics such as PHA's, poly lactic acid and other biological polyesters were discussed. ISBP 2008 is now being planned in Auckland, New Zealand.
